Our client is seeking an experienced senior project manager to oversee the technical execution, fabrication, scheduling and quality control of custom trade show exhibits. This role manages projects from production handoff through final warehouse inspection and installation, ensuring quality, timelines and budgets are consistently met.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage exhibit production from project handoff through completion and shipment.
Develop and maintain fabrication, procurement and production schedules.
Review CAD drawings, construction specifications and fabrication requirements for accuracy.
Prepare production estimates, evaluate vendor quotes and manage project budgets.
Coordinate purchasing of materials, components and hardware.
Oversee fabrication progress and resolve technical or production challenges.
Coordinate exhibit pre-sets and verify proper assembly, fit, finish and functionality.
Conduct final warehouse quality-control inspections before shipment.
Provide on-site installation and dismantle oversight for larger or more complex projects.
Collaborate with account management, design, CAD, fabrication, warehouse teams and outside vendors.
Identify potential problems early and implement solutions that protect schedules, quality and profitability.
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of project management experience, preferably within the trade show exhibit industry or custom fabrication.
Strong understanding of exhibit construction, fabrication methods, materials and components.
Experience preparing estimates, managing procurement and controlling production costs.
Ability to interpret and review CAD drawings and fabrication specifications.
Proven ability to manage multiple production schedules, vendors and deadlines.
Experience with exhibit pre-sets, quality control and installation oversight.
Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated accountability for project quality, timelines and profitability.
Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings or weekends based on project requirements.
