Project Management Director
Our Boston area client is a growing exhibit and experiential organization delivering custom environments and live brand experiences for national clients across multiple industries. As project volume and account complexity continue to increase, the company is seeking a project management leader who can strengthen execution, improve team structure, and help drive operational consistency across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, manage, and mentor the project management team
Oversee project scheduling, workload distribution, and team accountability
Directly manage select client accounts and high-priority exhibit programs
Ensure projects remain aligned on scope, budget, timing, and execution
Partner closely with production, fabrication, account management, and leadership teams
Support project managers through complex builds, shifting timelines, and client escalations
Improve project management structure, communication flow, and operational process
Maintain visibility across active projects and identify risks before they impact delivery
Participate in internal planning meetings and client-facing conversations as needed
Help establish scalable systems that support future growth
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong background leading custom exhibit or experiential projects from kickoff through install
Deep understanding of fabrication, production timelines, logistics, and show execution
Proven leadership experience in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
Ability to balance team leadership with direct project ownership
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable managing multiple active projects and priorities simultaneously
Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration between departments
Experience within custom exhibit, trade show, experiential, or branded environment organizations
History of improving operational process and project accountability
Experience leading teams through periods of growth or organizational transition
Hands-on leadership style with the ability to earn trust internally and externally
