A Las Vegas experiential design and fabrication company is hiring a Production Manager to run daily shop operations for high-end brand environments, exhibits, interactive builds, and permanent installations. The company is selective about the work it takes on, prioritizes sustainable execution over constant urgency, and wants a leader who can turn ambitious concepts into reliable, well-built final products. This is a hands-on role covering fabrication, prototyping, mechanical problem-solving, and shop leadership, with real input into how the shop runs and grows.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Run daily shop operations, production schedules, and labor assignments

  • Oversee fabrication across wood, metal, CNC, welding, and finishing

  • Convert design drawings and creative concepts into workable fabrication plans

  • Guide mechanical design and constructability decisions during project development

  • Lead prototyping for kinetic elements, interactive features, and custom mechanisms

  • Build solutions using motors, sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and related components

  • Test prototypes for durability, safety, and repeated public use

  • Flag technical risks and likely failure points ahead of full production

  • Track shop capacity, staffing needs, and schedule risk on an ongoing basis

  • Build and maintain SOPs, checklists, and quality-control procedures

REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years in custom fabrication, exhibits, scenic work, or a related field

  • 3+ years leading a fabrication shop or multidisciplinary production team

  • Strong hands-on skill in wood fabrication, metal fabrication, and welding

  • Track record taking original concepts from prototype to final production

  • Ability to originate mechanical solutions, not just follow existing drawings

  • Skill reading technical drawings and spotting constructability issues

  • Experience managing labor hours, shop schedules, and overlapping deadlines

  • Ability to write and enforce practical shop procedures

  • Strong leadership and hands-on problem-solving ability

  • Willingness to travel and support occasional evening or weekend installs
