New Business Developer (Pharma)

Our client is a leading experiential marketing agency specializing in the design, production, and execution of trade show exhibits, live events, and immersive brand environments. With a legacy of innovation and a deep bench of creative and operational talent, they partner with global brands to deliver impactful face-to-face experiences across every major industry vertical.  

They are seeking a highly driven, connected New Business Developer to join their team, with a strategic focus on the pharmaceutical, life sciences, and medical industries. This is a hunter role for a self-starter who understands how to identify, engage, and convert new pharma clients into long-term partnerships.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical and medical sectors, including key decision-makers in marketing, events, and procurement.

  • Understand the unique compliance, regulatory, and creative demands of healthcare clients and position the company’s value accordingly.

  • Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through RFP response, pitch, and close.

  • Collaborate with internal strategy, creative, and production teams to shape client solutions that align with company capabilities and client goals.

  • Maintain a pipeline of active prospects, using CRM tools to track progress, engagement, and conversion metrics.

  • Attend key industry events and trade shows to network and uncover new opportunities.

  • Serve as a thought partner and consultant to prospective clients, positioning company as a strategic extension of their marketing and event team.


REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of business development experience in the trade show, experiential, or event marketing space—preferably with pharma, biotech, or med device clients.

  • Proven track record of securing and growing six-to seven-figure accounts.

  • Deep familiarity with pharma compliance, exhibit guidelines, and the unique buying process within regulated industries.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, storytelling ability, and comfort presenting to executive stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally.

  • Willingness to travel as needed to attend conferences, pitch meetings, and client events.
