Account Manager
The Account Manager is a client-facing leader and customer advocate, responsible for driving successful project delivery through disciplined project management, clear communication, and financial stewardship. This role oversees projects from concept through completion, working hands-on with internal teams, external partners, and clients to ensure scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations are met.
The Account Manager leads project planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out while maintaining strong customer relationships and protecting project margins. This position requires active involvement with project stakeholders to define requirements, manage execution, and proactively resolve issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Translate approved designs and concepts into accurate take-offs and comprehensive price quotations
Manage projects from final design approval through contract execution, production, logistics, installation, and invoicing
Maintain full command of project scope, timelines, revisions, deadlines, and all internal and outsourced services
Partner with Operations, Finance, and other departments to ensure contract compliance, validate scope summaries, and develop schedules of values
Create and manage core project deliverables, including customer timelines, labor plans, vendor scopes, installation packets, and job documentation
Lead estimate and schedule review meetings to align cost assumptions, resources, and production timelines
Manage orders post-sale, including item details, change orders, due dates, shipping, and documentation
Guide customers through approval processes, clearly communicating lead times, submittal requirements, deadlines, and applicable rush fees
Secure all commercial approvals, including purchase orders, change orders, and submittals
Monitor budgets against actuals, manage scope changes, and protect final project margin
Resolve punch list items efficiently with minimal disruption to clients and internal teams
Perform quality checks, oversee packing, and manage installations remotely or onsite as required
Maintain accurate records to support clean project close-out
Travel domestically and internationally for installations as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in a custom manufacturing, exhibit, or construction-related environment
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Strong project management foundation, including planning systems, scheduling, workflow coordination, and team leadership
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proven critical thinking, decision-making, and leadership ability with a bias toward action
Experience thriving in fast-paced, high-expectation environments
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, scale blueprints, creative decks, and architectural plans
Strong financial acumen with advanced Excel skills; experience managing budgets, cost breakdowns, and actual-to-estimate tracking
Contract negotiation experience or aptitude preferred
