Director of Production, Events, New York City

Our client is an experiential marketing agency. They deliver outstanding service to their clients, creating events, experiences, and brand communication programs. Their team works together to deliver unforgettable experiences. Our client is currently seeking a Director of Production to identify, estimate, obtain, and deliver technical and production requirements. The Director of Production should be able to present project budgets, pitch budgets, program budgets.




  • Ensure projects are delivered on budget, on brand, and on time to the highest possible standards
  • Create practical working solutions to creative proposals
  • Create Budget of projects, and programs of work, ensuring best value pricing, negotiating with suppliers, and selecting contractors
  • Specify technical equipment and manufacture in specialist teams (Lighting & Sound Design, Graphics Production, etc.)
  • Collaborate with teams to develop solutions for live events
  • Create and manage schedule of all trades throughout pre-production and delivery phases
  • Produce project time plan with Project Management, Business Management, and Creative
  • Coordinate with venues and complete site visits as appropriate, reporting back on appropriateness for requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and ensure the introduction of new and innovative products and services
  • Manage all technical and manufacturing trades throughout the process, including logistics
  • Ensure resource availability and manage overhead
  • Record and document all project work
  • Communicate regularly with with clients regarding roles and responsibilities, budget, schedules, and project status
  • Support business development and new revenue opportunities with existing and potential clients
  • Attend conferences trade shows as needed
  • Onboard and train the production team and company regarding best practices



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 15+ years of Operations experience (experiential, sports or entertainment field preferred)
  • Confident and experienced with budgeting and negotiating projects
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, work on multiple projects, and meet deadlines
  • Must thrive in a fast paced work environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Departmental financial management experience

Location: New York City

Salary: $150K-$200K
