Sales Director, Exhibits, South Carolina




Our client is seeking a motivated, strategic Sales Director for their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and closing new business opportunities as well as building/managing a sales team. The Sales Director plays a key role in ensuring the growth of junior team members.

The Sales Director develops strong client relationships providing high level strategic thought. The Director is also responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to ensure project execution meets client expectations. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success developing and managing a positive integrated process resulting in top-notch creative ideas, and for selling in projects and an overall scope of work for client brands.

Requirements/Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote company services
  • Identify and qualify business opportunities
  • Achieve and/or exceed sales quotas
  • Ensure all client solutions are delivered on time and on budget
  • Collaborate with the creative team to implement the client's vision
  •  Maintain account plans for each client ensuring their communication objectives are met
  • Communication and responsiveness to the project support team
  • Monitor workflow prioritization and policies withing the design department
  • Research and develop target sales markets
  • Implement marketing strategies to maintain and grow market position
  • Drive sales through sales team
  • Develop practices to enhance lead generation
  • Disseminate inbound leads
  • Regularly update clients, project support team and management
  • Develop/deliver compelling sales messages, proposals and presentations
  • Leverage internal/external resources to build new client relationships
  • Nurture and foster growth within existing client relationships
  • Provide detailed reports including specific ROI metrics
  • Work with accounting to generate project invoicing
  • Attend events, shows, and be present for new projects

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+years minimum experience in the event marketing and/or trade show Industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related subject
  • Flexibility to travel
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-displline, strong organizational time management skills
  • Manage leads, accounts, contacts, opportunity pipeline and activities
  • Plan and manage strategically and operationally
  • Strong understanding of financial projection principles
  • Ability to effectively present ideas and information in a professional business environments

Location: South Carolina

Salary: $90K-$105K + Performance Based Incentives
