VP of Finance, Exhibits, Philadelphia

Our client is a market leader trade show and event marketing industry. They are seeking a success-oriented, motivated, Vice President of Finance. Our client offers a fun, success-driven atmosphere. This role will entail managing the financial reporting activities of the company with a primary function of cash management and directing the daily activity of the Finance Department Staff. The VP of Finance will be responsible for preparing and reporting financials to the company's CFO and Board of Directors. Areas of experience should include cost accounting, cash management, and managing relationships with banks, leasing companies, outside auditors, and vendors. Strong knowledge of spreadsheet and accounting software applications is required.

  • Report directly to the CFO and Manage Accounting Team
  • Coach and develop accounting team focusing on personal and professional growth
  • Financial reporting to the CFO and Board of Directors
  • Oversee, direct, and manage cash flow, budgeting, audit, tax, real estate, long range forecasting, and insurance activities
  • Design and implement cash management system
  • Business continuity planning
  • Ensure receipt, disbursement, banking, protection and custody of funds, securities, and financial instruments
  • Advise senior management on investments and loans for short-and long-range financial plans
  • Seeing the big picture and understanding cash-flow/cash management
  • Develop policies and procedures for account collections and extension of credit to customers
  • Protect bank information by keeping business development information confidential
  • Appraise the organization's financial position and issues periodic reports on organization's financial stability, liquidity, and growth
  • Direct and coordinate the establishment of budget programs
  • Coordinate tax reporting programs and investor relations activities
  • Analyze, consolidate, and direct all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports
  • Direct the preparation and issuance of the corporation's monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Direct and analyze studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations
  • Analyze operational issues impacting functional groups and the whole institution, and determines there financial impact
  • Establish and maintain contacts with stockholders, financial institutions, and the investment community



  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
  • CPA designation with significant experience in audit, financial controlling, and job costing in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 15 years of experience; public accounting (Big 4) experience a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP and other financial/accounting principles
  • Strong Cash Management Skills
  • Working Knowledge of Sage MAS90 /Sage 100 / Sage 100cloud / Sage 100 ERP
  • Experience with ADP Payroll Services and company benefits programs
  • Creative and innovative approach to problem solving
  • Experience working closely with the ownership and senior leadership team on strategic and operational initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to go above and beyond what is required to get the job done - hands on work with very careful attention to detail
  • Expert level user for Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate successfully with individuals at all levels of the organization



  • Trade show Industry Experience
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Location: Philadelphia

Salary: $125K-$150K DOE
