Senior Project Manager, Events, New York

Our client builds experiences for corporations of all sizes. They have honed their expertise to become an a leader in providing integrated design structural and event design solutions. Due to growth they are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in New York City.

The Project Manager is primarily responsible for managing and executing experiential marketing programs for new and existing clients and in support the Group Director and the Production team. Our client will expect the successful candidate to utilize planning tools, be responsible for supplier selection,and monitor and control processes.



  • Analyze job requirements, define scope, determine resource requirements, set production schedules and deadlines
  • Prepare pre-sale and pre-production project deliverables with detail breakout and budgets
  • Drive and negotiate costs and profitability including value engineering
  • Direct and track the status of all project deliverables to meet or exceed deadlines
  • Develop written materials, timelines, tracking, and status documents
  • Create comprehensive vendor RFQ documents with MS ppt and related software
  • Compile project performance information
  • Create and manage project budgets, deadlines, vendor invoices, purchase requests
  • Develop and maintain positive and respectful client, vendor and external agent relationships
  • Manage internal teams and executive management expectations with proactive communications and organized project documentation
  • Foster and mentor learning opportunities for junior team members
  • Utilize internal and external resources with effective leadership
  • Interpret client requirements, assess specifications, and recommend solutions
  • Ensure communication of project status changes and issues to all impacted parties



  • 5 - 7+ years experience in experiential activation, tours, themed environments and tradeshows in B2B & B2C spaces
  • 2+ years of agency experience
  • Experience with large and complex projects of $1M+ with multifaceted elements
  • Strong strategic, financial and creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to anticipate issues and or challenges and apply your experienced POV and solution insights
  • Knowledge of fabrication processes and graphic production a must
  • Strong knowledge of exhibit construction technologies and materials
  • Experience in lighting, sound and video integration a plus
  • Experience with venue and site surveying
  • Ability to delegate, and monitor tasks to junior staff
  • Master at shifting and multitasking in a fast-paced work environment
  • Extensive knowledge of software and project management tools i.e. excel, google docs, etc
  • Knowledgeable of QuickBooks a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Travel and some weekend work

Location: New York

Salary: $90K to $105K
